27-day aurora forecast based on data from SWPC

Solar activity is in decline and will increase only in the middle of the month, with expected Kp4 on March 15. But we always have a chance of a new, unexpected outbreak.

The bright moon in the coming days doesn’t help to see the aurora. Still, it provides an excellent opportunity for nightscape photography when illuminating the landscape.

The end of the month looks very promising, and hopefully, as beautiful northern lights as last week’s ones will please us again. It would be a great end of the season in the Northern hemisphere.
