The second calm week in a row, but what's ahead?

April 10, 2023

27-day aurora forecast based on data from SWPC

This week will be as calm as the last one, with a maximum Kp4 level of geomagnetic activity on Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on your location. But as we can see, the next two weeks should be fantastic.

The northern lights season is coming to an end in polar regions. In northernmost locations, like Tromso in Norway, this week is the last week when it's dark enough to see the aurora.

The moon will not illuminate the landscape properly these days. It will rise later and later or don't rise at all. So, it's time for attractive silhouettes or light paintings to be added to the scene.

Let's see the updated 27-day forecast next Monday.
