The sun is going to be quite active this week. Kp3-Kp4 level of geomagnetic activity is expected 6 out of 7 days this week. It's good news for those northern lights regions where the season is not over.
Kp8 and fantastic aurora again on 23-24
The 23 is becoming a magical date for aurora photography. We all remember great northern and southern lights dancing in the sky on March 23-24. It was Kp8 level of geomagnetic activity, which means a G4 geomagnetic storm. And again, there is the same Kp8 level on April 23-24.
The third calm week in a row and the fantastic one ahead
The latest geomagnetic activity forecast doesn't promise that the March 23/24 event will repeat this week on April 20-21. And we'll have a third relatively calm week in a row with a maximum of Kp4 on the weekend. But the following week's forecast is fantastic, with 4 days of geomagnetic storms in one week.

This week will be as calm as the last one, with a maximum Kp4 level of geomagnetic activity on Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on your location. But as we can see, the next two weeks should be fantastic.
